Yeah but now your entering the age old 'dyno comparison' arguement....
Every dyno will give a different result... all calibrated slightly differently, using different modes, people using different fuels, different humidity / temp on the day, different tryres & tyre pressure. Comparing apples & oranges.
Only way to get as close as possible is same dyno, one car after the other Ie a dyno day. Even then as the day wears on the air temp & humidity changes...

go to the strip and test your power out there. Even if you produce 20-30kws more than someone if they can pull a better time on the strip or beat you in a drag than obviously the dyno results mean crap!
Dynos will give you an overall top power figure.
On the strip it will prove how your car puts the power down, the way your car produces the power and how efficiently it does it.

more than that! heat is one major contributor to how much power a car makes!Jono wrote:on one dyno it shouldnt fluctuate that much depending on Air temp, humidity? should it?
maybe + - 1kw ?
You notice how you lose power in the heat??? same effect on a dyno.
Try a dyno without the massive fan blowing into your engine and the difference is huge down low.
would you even know of a 10kw increase? I know for a fact even 15kws is not really noticeable with just driving. Its more of a placebo effect.
More to the point whats the point of HP when NM levels are lower? Power is for dynos, torque is for drags.
