where's these links? your comments were misleading and in practice not accurate regardless of which word you put in bold.

is one link, showing how simple mods can put the fto in a "Sweet spot" where no computer could get "more" out of it.

theres a few others, i cant find the links so readily. If you *really* want them i'll find them.

Besides, i never said "dont get a dyno run, dont ever buy a comp" i merely said "it might not be neccessary". A $50 dyno run could potentially save someone a lot of time, money, and heartache, and thats all i was trying to achieve.

You misread my original post, and were wrong about what i said khu, get over it, i am.

Well ive sorta skim read through this without looking at the mud slinging too much

I had one of these units and just sold it cause im planning on going to full aftermarket ECU (current performance mods being zorst, extractors, pod and intake pipe) and from my experience:

Changing Mivec point anything below 5600rpm = big loss in torque

Heres a dyno sheet from my car with mivec set at 4500 and you can see then big drop in torque mid range:

You may get small gains from adjusting fuel mixture but 20% sounds like way to much. If your going to do that get it on a dyno!!

The other thing is there are a lot more tuneable AFC's out there - ie adjust fuel in 500rpm increments instead of 1000.

personally with the sort of mods I have at the moment I dont see much point in having one - although the shift beep and speed cut remove functions were handy.

Hey,

I've been thinking of getting an AFC for a while, just waiting to find one cheap enough on ebay or something. Just wondering if anyone can suggest a good & cheap place to get it dyno tuned properly ( & i know, usually if its cheap it ain't good and if it's good it ain't cheap - but i'm a bit low on cash atm) - either in Brisbane or Gold Coast
