Wheels And Offest

hey guys i came across some cheap wheels on firesport.com

now these wheels have an offest of 38 and are 17 by 7inch

now whats the widest tyre i can have on these wheels

205? 215?

sorry for the newbie question

pretty sure its 215 on 17x7s...soem1 else will corrct me if I'm wrong.

I had 215 at the front and 225 at the back with 17x7.

So have you decided to kept the FTO?

225 would be the widest to go on a 7" wide wheel.

heya kev, yeah ive decided to keep my car
have other commitments at the moment (saving up for a engagement ring for the mrs)

super mega cruise coming up next next month, will keep you guys informed

how much do these wheels weigh??? and cost? maybe I will go have a look!

there was a pretty good site i found (like the miata tyre size calculator) that showed you a visual of the offset and wheel size that would affect your car compared to stock. dont remember what the url for the site was though. maybe search google for "offset calculator"

+38 sounds like u might need spacers or something to go wider than 215 because the stock wheels are around +35 afaik. i think they'd be around 2cm closer to the shock abosorber by default
