try starting the car and taking off with out using the clutch
then tell mw you doubt the function of the clutch

theoretically - when moving, can't use change gears by matching revs with gear changes etc without using the clucth? I can't imagine it being good for your gearbox car at all, but I had a mate with a shitbox 626 who used to do it....

you can put it out of gear without using the clutch, and matching the revs makes it smoother but i think it wipes oil off the cogs.... i did it once when the gearbox was low on oil and was a bit hot at the time and it didnt like it much.
