Has anyone else seen the new Ford Territory Turbo Add. Did you laugh as hard as I did when it was touted as a sports car eater....

Granted it has 245KW, but what about the weight, not to mention the its obvious lack or cornering ability.

Despite the weight, its actually pretty quick for a 2.1 ton 4WD, 0-100 is 7sec & 15 sec 1/4 miles. In the Wheels Mag test, they said its actually handle corner really well. They even manage to do a power on oversteer slides, aka "Drift"

It might not be a sports car eater, but it sure will scare the sh*t out of lots of sports car owner on the road.

Having looking into a SUV, softroader or whatever ppl like to call them these days for the pass 8mths. I've look at every brand & model of 4WD by now, with the quality, feature & finish in mind, the Territory Turbo is on top of my list along with the Lexus RX350 & Merc ML350.

i never even bother stepping on it when im next to a ford or a holden, but i've always wondered how fast those utes are.. i mean not like xr8s etc just the normal utes u see that sound beasty

i had a go vs a XR6 (non turbo of course) an auto like 95% of them are.. it was close but i beat it which i was pretty surprised at :?

Dont laugh they are a very capable car for its size and weight.

Not my cup of tea but from what I have read it would be on top of my shopping list if I needed a wagon/SUV/Toorak Tractor. ANd $30K cheaper then a X5.

essentially they are a big version of the BA...nice value for money and I was looking at a turbo version today. The guy just bought it and said it went good but cos it was new he hadn't really given it a go yet.

245kw is nothing to sneeze at...boost it it, get a new turbo and FMIC and it will be a 350kw monsta and take your fto to the hole and dunk it on u

fuel would be spastic though. My mate has the std one and it chews more than the other guys BOSS 300kw V8 falcon....the turbo one would chew hard like a slut in St. Kilda.

power to weight would actually be very similar to a FTO. In regards to the GPX on paper no, but take into consideration how the engines produce their maximum power it would put it on par with a FTO.

Line up a Auto FTO they would come out pretty even.

ok lined up against a TT today...we was on a rolling start and I was in my skyline which has just been tuned to 260rwkw. On the roll I had a hard time catching up but I did. he had a bit of a jump but there is no doubt in my mind its fast and on a rolling start will cain the fto - and most other cars.

yeah what happned was i was stopped at the lights and I saw this beast comming up next to me from the rear view. As he was approaching the light went green and he drove past...took one look at me and planted the foot...I then decided to go and started to catch up...just he had a serious jump on me - but when I hit 16psi I was catching him but he was still going fast..

my specs are 430nm and ~260 rwkw and ...max torque at about 5.5k

so that gives u and idea of how impressive the TT is.
