Well this all got put on hold a few days ago when my misses decided we were going on a very expensive Euro trip later this year... its a bit
and
really! I've paid a good size deposit on the charger & it has arrived at the shop. Yeah its a 'roots' or 'screw' type.

Pistons were going to be the last peice of the puzzle for "Plan B"
Obviously going to have to get something a little higher spec than stock, it was going to all hinge on Valve sizes that I can fitted into the heads & cam lobe profiles - ie how much valve lift I get. It shouldn't be too bad with a forced induction type grind on the cams, long duration opening not requiring huge lift. Then put it all together with some bearing blue on the valves & see what hits what with a hand turn over. Then buy an appropriate piston set to & get the them scolloped to suit. Or something along those lines!

Project is on hold for a few months, going to Europe in Sep for a few months, so all dollars are going that way...
But dont worry, when I get back I'll be at it again. I still need another block, so if you see one on ebay let me know!
Dunno what size that charger is Nacho.... but its a hell of a lot bigger than the one I have. Current setup has it ontop of the motor, sort of between the intake manifold & front rocker cover. Its yet to be seen whether it'll need a bonnet scoop or similar... once I get it running reliably off the engine dyno I'll get to those details!

i'd say if nothing else is really painted or polished in the engine bay then just leave it, otherwise it'll stand out like dog's balls lol.
and i guess if u r going to ever polish it, then do it now, otherwise u'll have to take it back out etc... and if u r sane u'll never go through that trouble. lol
thats my drunk 2c anyway...
btw just out of curiousity how much was the bottle of johnny blue?
