i broke the old mans axel grinder like 5 years ago hahaha i have a hack saw but

pardon my ignorance but whats this? my drivers side one seems to be damaged...

this is the drivers side...

passenger side looks abit better and straighter

whats damaged? and can i replace it myself? looks pretty easy looks like two bolts and im done...

Thats your lower control arm rear bushes. Yep they are 2 bolts to get out - not too hard. Having said that - there is no point doing them without doing the front bushes on those control arms as well. Putting a new bush into a system that uses 2 bushes will result in the new bush wearing at twice its normal rate. The front control arm bushes are pretty easy to change too. Just the 1 big bolt that goes through them.

Thats because its not - that bush is for the GPvR only

hey i just realised we're talking about 2 different things...

i was talking about the piece of metal holding the rear bushes in... mine seems abit stuffed... like warped...

Yep thats it. that braket with the 2 bolts wraps around the bush 7 holds it up against the underside of the car.

Part numbers:
SPF1160 for the front 2 little bushes & steel crush tube
SPF1500 for the big one at the rear

Buy from Superflex or Fulcrum Suspension

and ive found more problems...

droplinks look pretty stuffed

and what the hell is this? it looks stuffed aswell? can someone tell me the part number?

SPF1344 Front Sway Bar Mount To Chassis Bushing (16k) x 2
SPF2092B Rear Sway Bar Link Bushing Kit x 2
SPF2004 Rear Sway Bar Mount To Chassis Bushing (18k) x 2
SPF1574 Rear Trailing Arm - Front Bushing x 2

If so, who do i get these through..?

I just want to be able to give it to my mechanic and request these all put in...My mechanic says that all the rubbers in my car are in ok order but i would like to replace anyway....

Jono, they are your droplinks. They tend to be the first thing to wear on FTO's but just cause they look sh*tty doesnt mean they are... they are the exposed to the elements under the car..

To check them, grab a hold of the bar & twist it, see how much movement you get. As they are mounted to the swaybars by ball joints you should get some movement in them. If they are really loose, the ball joints are worn. If they are really tight, the ball joints may have seized. When they lock up, you tend to hear a crunching noise when you go over bumps.

Cheapest place to buy them is Camskill... they use'd to have a package deal for all 4 but I dunno if its still on.

The other item you've taken a pic of is the steering arm ball joint. If the rubber is f*ckled on that then dirt & grit may have got into it. Again it is a ball joint connection. You'd probably have to get that from Mitsi.

Lenny, do you have a GR or GPX? All the bushes you list are fine, except SPF2004. That bush is for a GR - it is the GR equvalent of a GPX droplink.
If you have a GPX then you dont get that, instead you get proper droplinks.

Lastly, SPF1574 for the rear trailing arm - factory bushes on those arms dont tend to wear too badly. I'd get your mech to check out the ones you have, because they are mega expensive replacements as far as bush prices go. They are a friggen big bush.

Now I cant remember if Superpro sell direct to the public, if they do, thats who I'd be calling to get those bits. If not, try Fulcrum suspension or Pedders

I will try my mechanic for these to see if he can organise them for me otherwise i will get in touch with Falcrum
