So what is the actual problem with the car?is it fixed yet?

the car is 100% fixed and ready to be drive away...but MJ motors is not paying the bill which they were suppose to ( we agreed on phone he will pay for the damage)....and he just changed the story right at the end by saying i didnt see the report etc...

so the car is sitting there... waiting for me :x :cry:

and if i dont pay $1810.10 i cant get the car bak......

Pay the bill, get the car back, and THEN look at taking action if you think you have a claim (Small Claims Tribunal?)

slight mod to this plan.

investigate what action you are going to take first and know your rights. Then if you are confident pay the money and follow up on your investigation.

whats the limit of the Small Claims Tribunal...about 2k I think or around that. It easy to lodge a complaint however make sure u know your facts and have evidence...phone conversation is not evidence.

writing is evidence.

^^agreed.
VCAT (Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal) generally has no limit to the amt you can claim...and there's the Motor Car Traders Guarantee Fund, which has a 40k limit.
