Would it be possible to make a water run off on that thing? It would be handy to be able to drive the car when it's raining..... :?

I think it is actually! It looks a lot like the one they're selling at UAS. It does look really tempting coz I need a bonnet for my other FTO before the panel beaters can match the new radiator bracket frame to the car.

I know a bunch of people that drive with these unpainted and no problem. This mod is just like anyother mod, if police are having a bad they they will fine you for anything..

I think it should be fairly safe.. imo..

I've always wanted this.. but price was too much, but this is very interesting.

Couple of Qs I have before I say yes

1) Would too much rain be bad with this bonnet with water going inside and all? This is the major question i have with this, would appreciate if somebody could verify this.

2) How long would we have to make the payment?

i may sell my CF bonnet seperatly when i sell my car...

i think cf bonnet should be fine. there was a police car which followed me for a while when i was driving on Parra Rd, I drove at 50kmh and it followed me about a few minutes.. and drove up next to me and was checking my car out.. and then drove off... i was quite nervouse back then ..

hey guys in regards to questions of this bonnet as i have had it before...
fibreglass not defect
cf bonnets are definite defect
i asked the cops when i got RBT ages ago.
with the vents...little rain is no problem
but after u drive and wash your car, dont chuck buckets of water near it as i saw HEAPS of steam come out
i believe its not good for the car
the vents dont have a run-off like the evos do
the ab-style was initially develped for the nismo r34 gtr in japan
ab style is jsut modified with 2 small vents on the side
but generally bonnet is ok in the rain...jsut when u wash your car, COVER THE VENTS
and when u take it to car wash MAKE SURE U COVER THE VENTS YOURSELF
coz i believe warm engine + COLD water in long run = crack engine...
beware
but overall i love the bling factor
temperature wise it did jack anything.
past ride : FTO gpx with lots of bling bling
Current ride: EVO 8 with the MOST CARBON IN AUSTRALIA....206KW AT ALL WHEELS

so CF bonnet is a defect?
but technically, aren't 18" rims defects on FTOs since the stock rims are 16" and u can only go 1" up.
but its real rare to get defected for that unless the cops have a "defect every modified car" picnic day.
so with the CF defect, are they real strict about it, or easy going like the rim issue?
