What would you do to your FTO if......

Post by GPXXX »

you had an unlimited budget? i'll kickstart with my dream mods:

* 500hp 6A13 turbo (stroked to 2.8l) with a 10,000rpm redline

* mid-engined (mounted on rear passenger bay with custom firewall)

* 4WD drivetrain conversion from a GTO donor car (with adjustable torque split ala GTR/STi)

* X-Trac 6-spd sequential gearbox

* electronically operated folding metal rooftop (ala SLK/SL500)

* plush suede leather interior with digital gauges

* 18" deep dished wheels sitting on hydraulic suspension

* custom carbonfibre widebody kit with side intake ducts for the mid-mounted engine

* chameleon paint (red -> blue -> purple -> burgundy)

* a 150dB multimedia sound system

* scissor door conversion (of course!)

* motorised bootlid

* centrally offset driving position (ala McLaren F1)

* slightly chopped-top

ok...time to wake up to reality now.... :roll:

Could that still be called an FTO??? After all those mods, it may have more unoriginal parts than original :lol:

Oh, IMHO even on an unlimited budget, I would go NA all the way 8)

Seriously though...

Leather interior
Respray (not sure what colour yet)
Remove all badges and fill in the FTO embossing at the back
paddle shift
breaks
suspension
wheels
exhaust

Simple things which I will probably do in the future anyway...
Comeon it's an FTO! Nothing needs to be done :lol:
