As long as you mount the MAF sensor between the TB & the filter you should be fine.

Option 2:
BMC CDA with FTO-specific black alu intake kit & mounting brackets - developed by Hostile Performance.
id prefer hostiles 2nd kit because of the brackets that're already made to fit & secure the filter, but if it can be secured easily with the caveman tools that i have im interested

I can probably get the universal installation kit from the supplier but i don't want to get a whole kit because everyone will have different ideas of the air-intake.

yeah what sort of filter is used...a paper type or is that some sort of standard arrangement?

also I guess u need the bit to the TB...is that in option 2?

Has anyone used this kit and done any testing...in theory it should be really good..limited heat and direct push into the TB.

since its not a real BMC version I would be intrested to see if they have employed the same design or just the same look.

I have spoken to the supplier and he is willing to do 10 samples (10 lucky people) for Australian buyers of the BMC "style" air in-takes.

The price will be at 199 for this time only, after that it will go up to $249 again.

I have ditched the idea of the arc style intake due to being too coomplex.

PS it is exactly the same as the BMC style filter but with a much cheaper price tag.

Who are the lucky 10 people?

question
whats real world gains does this have over a standard air filter? i mean is it dyno tested ? i can see it would reduce heat issues and providea strighter flow but is it effective?

It has the filtration inside the air cylinder, so there is no heat going inside the throttle body AT ALL.

Since it's carbon fibre, it's also lightweight and looks great.

It's the same design as the BMC so you would be getting verry good gains, especially low down power because the air is trapped in the cylinder and when you take off, since it's close to the throttle body, it sucks the COLD air straight in.

The price is at $199 for one reason, For people to try it out. The supplier sells A LOT of these and is very confident you guys, will be happy.

I wouldn't be surprised if the BMC filters are made in the same factory!
