Welcome to the club
Well, the price of rims is going to vary depending on the type & style that you want, obviously. Any tyre place can fit them for you for nothing if you buy it from them. They should also have a database with the right sizes for the FTO, but just incase here's some info on the rim sizes that fit the FTO.

I just had new rims installed last Saturday; it cost me $1,500 for a set of 17" rims, 205/45 Fulda tyres, and full wheel alignment. That was from bobjane here in Melbourne.
I went with 17" because my FTO is lowered and if I went bigger it would have left me no clearance (almost literally) between the wheel and the car. So you might want to take that in to consideration before you lower it, or get it lowered before you get your wheels

In Sydney the best place for cheap rim / tyre packages is Tempe Tyres

Probably looking at about $1500 for a full set, fitted.
But yeah, keep in mind 18's rub... you might wanna get them to try a few different ones on whiole your there

Man.. I loved your rims! couldn't stop staringBennoz wrote:You weren't complaining of a rough ride in my car!khunjeng wrote:18" is ok but IMO the ride quality suffers to much for a lot of driving. then again some ppl just dont care..

I've shortened by selection down to these 2 sets of rims!
And looks like I'm gonna have to pay extra for better tyres since the standard ones you get free from tempe I heard are a bit shyt >_<

One of these 2 probably (I realise the first ones are very close to somebody elses red FTO

I would love to get 18's but at the moment with 16"s on (50 series) i get rear scrubidge when hitting corners hard or with people in the back(on the rare occasion)...
I think 17's (for me) are the best option.....but i think also that 18's would look the best...just do not want to pour $$ into suspension at this stage

Depending of the offset of the wheel... but its generally the inside of the arches that cops the rubbing. I've seen a number of FTO's with the issue - mine included!Gpx_xxx wrote:maybe if u roll the guards it will work!!Lenny wrote:I would love to get 18's but at the moment with 16"s on (50 series) i get rear scrubidge when hitting corners hard or with people in the back(on the rare occasion)...
