Bolts for spoiler

Post by Lenny »

Hi,

Would anyone have or know the type of bolts, and sizeetc.. that hold on the original spoiler (rear)??

Also were there any plugs etc for the other holes or did the plastic bits just sit in the holes ( am sure you will know what i mean if you have pulled the original spoiler off!!!)

Careful

careful when you pull the spoiler off, the plastic lugs can snap (and theyre stuck into the spoiler - break them and youre in trouble)

    Hey dStocks.

That is my problem...that is, i am pulling of an aftermarket spoiler and putting an original one back on and i am after the plastic lugs you have mentioned...

Looks like i will do without i guess....

Still got to get all the putty type glue that the previous owner layed on thick around the edges

    Or.......

You could do what I did. The previous owner of my FTO was a little rough and broke a few lugs. Get a small drill and drill a small hole through the centre of the lug. I then screwed a few screws from underneath into the spoiler (although I did have to drill a couple of pilot holes in the underside of the boot frame to make this happen). Worked well though.
