help with gearbox???

Post by FTO2sxy »

hey everyone my speedo just stopped and i took it to north shore mitsunishi, they said it was the speed sensor they changed it , and the speedo started workin. the next day im driving and it stopped again. They reckon the part in the gearbox connected to the speed sensor is wearing the speed sensor part away and they reckon they have to open the gearbox??? can anyone recomend anyone to do this as it will be fairly expensive at mistusbishi??

Sorry I can't give you any advice on the speedo and gearbox issue, but what I can tell you is that North Shore Mitsubishi is quite pricey when it comes to servicing your FTO. On top of this, they get their apprentices to do the work which may or may not lead to a poor service. The choice is yours, but I would not recommend them.

Try Unique Auto Sports in Castle Hill :P

I'm sure Steve can advise who to speak to there.

Cheers,
B.
