Footwell Neons...

Post by frozenwaffles »

Yo all ye ftoers...
Just thought i'd let you know that my footwell neons have gone in and they were quite easy to install. They look fantastic!
have yet to do the door mod, so that they light up when the doors open. right now they are just on a switch in the ash tray. wired tyhem off the stereo power. the neons are just from a PC neon kit.
will post photos when i get some time...

I did this a few years back.

Cable tied them into the footwells so you cant see them during the day.

I made a switch with one the standard switch places that havent been used (near the fog lights). Just bought one from autobahn and drilled it in.

Had an electrician mate do the wiring behind the ashtray and put a fuse in for me but it looks pretty easy.

i did it a little while ago.

Blue neons that run to blue light-up switches.

Very easy to do, and look great!

I got me some neons for the footwells, but havent put them in yet. Im not sure how i want to install them yet. Either with the door switch so they come on when the door opens, or use the sound sensor, or via a switch, or a combination of all the above.

Im still waiting to see the photo's promised earlier in this thread.... :)

by the time u get the neons, and wiring (if you dont already have any speaker wire) and switches/fuse etc you dont get too much change from $50

maybe ~ $35-45 depending where u go.

as for the flashing, could be cool but i think it would be very distracting!

I re-used the 2 lights from the ciggie lighter and ash tray lighting and re-mounted in the middle of the footwell. Added some blue bulb covers and looks not to shabby really....costs $2
