What Do You Want?

Post by smorison »

the FTO Shop will soon be expanding its products apart from Timing belts (which i will be supplying shortly) what else would you be interested in purchasing?

Btw i'll shortly have some really hot pricing on Advan copies if anyone's interested.

The shop already has those dials listed.. I am guessing stephen means what else you would like apart from what is currently on offer.

One thing i was trying to make for my car was a centre console insert. I know a lot of fto owners get their car with the jap radio. When putting a normal sized head unit in there is a void. I tried to make this insert to cover the void (the other option is the trinket tray)

Here is an example of what i mean
http://home.iprimus.com.au/crimsonchicken/index.htm under the modifications section. Just using low quality plastic at present so it has gaps in the first attempt. Not sure if other would be interested in something like that.

Daz,
i should be able to source Mitsubishi ones easily enough, i'll see what i can find over the coming weeks.

Dials are already in the FTO Shop, the only one's i don't have a indiglo at this time, i'm negotiating with KMC in the UK to create KPH ones it just depends on how much demand there is for their style in KPH.

all UniqueFTO Modifications will be available through the FTO Shop in the coming weeks.

Have received an email from HKS they don't have speed limit defenders for the FTO so i'm looking elsewhere for some.

Those are the dials I got, and the picture is deceiving. There aren't actually any cut outs. Dial face has the P R N D and gear light indicators on it as well.

But these are not EL dials.

EL dials shouldn't have any cut outs anyways as this will emit the naked light from behind through to the front.

Some products I would like to see for sale in the shop section:

1, Woven stainless steel grill pre-facelift & post-facelift (just like the ones in Type F products) OR the $30 aluminium ones from Super Cheap Auto.
2. Lightweight Polished Cast Aluminium MIVEC Emblem for Front Grills (from Type F).
3. Polished Aluminium Door Handle Cups (from Type F).
4. Various belts - genuine and non-genuine (timing, fan & p/s).
5. Several types of spark plugs.
6. FTO accessories eg. original floormats, various sticker decals.

Steve, ya know i'm gonna suggest the carbonfibre airbox (wih stainless steel intake piping) right??? ;)

other than that, how about a modified version of the Subaru 22B wing for the FTO, or custom trim options for the interior (ie: seat covers / door trims / floor mats) and chromed H-gate pattern for the manual shifter like the Ferrari? ;)

Just my 2 c.... hehehehe!

GPvR wing :) well guess what we'll be getting one probably next week to make a mould of... then we'll be able to make as many you want (obviously 1 per car)...

Carbon Fibre airbox, that will come as soon as we get the CAI Stage II kit back and ready to go it will be built around that. (this stage II kit should cost about 200.00 with an air filter)

those dials you can buy from the FTO Shop, as well as all Funky Products. Inidglo one's aren't available just yet but the rest are.

Grill pieces, i'll look into that i'm not sure what sort of price i can get just yet on them but we'll see, its the sort of thing imho that's best bought from supercheap anyways, shipping costs will probably make it too expensive. I may look at ones designed to drop straight in with no cutting but its not at the top of the list.

I have just got pricing for the VAFC II your looking at $660.00 plus mivec Adaptor $100.00 (this exludes fitting and tuning)

anyway i'm off to the pub need a beer!!!

These dials are from AWD in Japan. They make dials for the MX5 as well. I got Taki from Perfectrun to order it for me. He can get the dials for you but you would have to find someone to fit it for you, or fit it yourself. After fitting mine, he said he's not going through the hassle to fit them again! But he can get it for you though.

Price is at home so don't have it with me at the moment. Will let you know.

I second the 320km speedos and handbrake lever
also how about clear side indicators? stainless steel gear surround? gear knobs?

thats not a bad price for the VAFC II, wheres that through? how much would installation be roughly?
