I love it when crooks get arrested.
How was it determined that your alarm / immobiliser wasn't activated? You can identify the parties at fault, which will be of help when facing insurance.
In my brother's case (nearly similar scenario), of the three people caught breaking into his car: 1 wasn't charged, 1 was a minor and given a warning, the third given a suspended sentence and good behaviour bond.

At least they caught the bastards & your insurance should pay up since there is a police report on this.
