a few things cos I have been through my car and fixed everything recently...

your strut bar in the engine bay. How does it have any bushes to connect the arm? Mine diddn't and when i took it off most of the front end noise went away! this is becuase the natural movement was restricted and the bolts/arm were making some noise as they were stressed.

How low is your car? the springs on compression might be hitting which is common..get some whiteline spring wrap and wrap them...cheap and stops that clunk sound on the springs and also protects them.

the bushes on all the drop-links/sway bar etc might need attention...if u have done the above 2...then go for these.

check the sway bar brackets also....these may be bent ...mine were and went going over bumps on certain angles i was getting some crap noises until i fixed it.

Jack the car up & see if there is any play in the wheel: top to bottom and side to side.

If there is play top to bottom = shot bottom ball joint

If there is play side to side = shot wheel bearing

Im leaning towards ball joint - but yes more info would be nice. When does the knock come on? Is it when turning or going in a straight line, when you go over bumps. Does its frequency increase and decrease with the cars speed?
