yea .. idiots man, especially those stupid no good (not trying to be racist) aboriginal kids, so many of them just go around breakign windows..
last time I was driving in this laneway in city and I see these 2 guys smashign somebody's window, so I start beeping, the guy looks at me and start walking away and then turns around and gives me the finger, so I jumped out of the car, and as soon as they saw me they bolted down the street.. idiots!
Aghh i hate people doing things to other people's car cos it makes me think how it would feel like if somethin happened to mine.. another tip..
NEVER EVER park your car at central station ramp, always idiots that are drunk go up there to catch a cab or a train home, and they stomp on cars.. my car got stomped on and the whole roof was caved in (not my fto but my old magna)
so just a warning for anybody in sydney city

yeah i'm thinking of changing my preference place of parking now, instead of
1. capitol square (cause it's easy to find parktin)
2. chinatown (harder to find)
3. pitt st (even harder)
4. anywhere
to
chinatown, pitt st, anywhere but capitol
I saw some abo's in capitol one day looking inside cars, maybe it's them who did it ... if next time i see them again should i just smash ta fuk outta them and blame it's them

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

Central Locking
Bad news that.
As for the central locking, put in aftermarket solenoids. The Mitsubishi ones have a habit of doing that. You can get aftermarket ones from Autobahn for $22. I bought one last week end and fitted it to fix my passenger door which wasnt locking properly. Not hard to fit and they work!!!

Lock Gun
The 'lock gun' of which you speak is a solenoid. Just get one from pretty much any auto accessories shop. You wont be able to replace the old one as it is a part of the lock. You need to cut the two wires and attach to new solenoid. New solenoid can be attached by drilling 2 holes in door.

Speaking of cars getting broken into, I have to question the intelligence of some ppl.
2 cases come to mind.
First, I had a friend who was trying to sell her lancer. Stock engine etc, but had full evo kit. Black, looked real nice. She parked it opposite Ettamogah pub with for sale sign on it, and was usually only there during the day. One Monday i drove past on my way to work and saw her car there, she had left it there overnight (first time). I stopped to check it just incase. Good thing too, some one had smashed one of the rear quarter panel windows. Didnt break into the car, just smashed one window. It had rained overnight so the car got wet inside. Why would you do it ?
Second, On my way home just recently in Elizabeth (pov area for those who dont know) there was a car that had broken down, and obviously pushed onto the traffic island. The car was just some old small car. Nothing special just average, and about 100m from the local cop station. The car was on an intersection, so well lit. Next morning on the way to work, the car was still there, and EVERY window had been smashed.
I tell you what, if I ever break down, and for some reason cant get a tow, Im sleepin in my car with a baseball bat, or worse...
There are some real scum out there. I mean I had my Valve caps stolen at the local shops for F sake !!!!

Re: Lock Gun
Arrso that's what it is ... you know what, IF ONLY i've replace both side instead of one side only! This would not have happen ... or even worst could happen ...dstocks wrote:The 'lock gun' of which you speak is a solenoid. Just get one from pretty much any auto accessories shop. I've replace the 'lock gun' a year back then on the driver side, back then the passenger side is still working ok.

Well you can always put addional alarm siren inside your car if you really keen. It is illegal in Vic, don't know if its the same in other state.
Hook it up with either microware or ultrasonic detector, not even a fly can get pass it. And if the "bastard" can stay more then 1min inside your car, he will be deaf by the time he comes out.

And then he sues you for his loss of hearing (while trying to steal your car) and he would probably win...FTO338 wrote:Well you can always put addional alarm siren inside your car if you really keen. It is illegal in Vic, don't know if its the same in other state.

ahahah Maybe, but what makes you think you can't remove the 2nd siren if this happen? Don't forget, most likely the thief will assume there is only one alarm siren, so he can only sue the alarm manufacture directly as they made the alarm.
I know what you mean, as this might fall into the civil liberty act. But it’s a whole new ball game when the guy can't prove there is a 2nd siren, plus there is enough warning signs as well with alarm armed warning flash lights, & stickers. So the owner doesn’t own him or her the “duty of careâ€
