I agree with "all of the above" but I'm wondering, has no one mentioned how bloody stiff the suspension is yet?
Yes, I know its a GOOD thing for handling but omg, whenever my friends sit in it and we go over little bumps they always say "bump bump bump" because u feel everything.
Also, road noise etc is quite loud, but its an excuse to turn up sub etc.
Tinny doors can be fixed with sound deadening, but sound deadening is a biatch. I'm more concerned with the glass windows that rattle when door closes.
Oh, tip guys, that rear seatbelt knocking against things problem can be fixed by getting one of those seatbelt pads and then making the buckle sit right at the top. And if u got a sub, the last thing that will rattle is the 3rd brake light... I thought I had it all until I heard it...
Performance is lacking, but hey, I didn't buy the FTO purely for performance, I wanted a combo of above average performance and looks.
At the end of the day, after driving a Gen 7 civic to and from work and then coming back to the FTO, there's just no comparison on which I love to drive more though!!
Oh, driving a 'normal' car is bad cos when u go back to the FTO, u try to do things u can't in a normal car :D

I guess you won't be looking at lowering with uprated springs then? :)

You gotta remember it's a performance car though. If you want a soft ride, try a Camry. It feels like you're floating on a cushion with that car.

Also, my ex used to complain about the lack of vanity mirrior on the passenger sun visor. I'm sure I wasn't the only one who got told this!

i guess by the sounds of things you haven't been taken for a ride in a DC2 Integra Type-R... after having a sit in one (and taken for a thrash), the stock FTO suspension somehow feels like a bus!

Yeah the stock suspension ain't too bad for ride comfort in an FTO. I have Kings springs in my Lancer and that was harsher compared to stock FTO. But now I that have my RSR down suspension springs, my ride has definately gone harder.

But seriously, drive a Camry and you'd know what I mean!

No one has mentioned this but how about NO BLOODY GLOVE BOX LIGHT!!! How frustrating is it when you pull up at night to find the something in the glove box, and with the weak interior lights you have a better chance of finding a pimple on an elephants back!!!  I found a fix to the weak torque down low, I just stick it into tip and use first gear to get the car racing before I change gear. It does frustrate me that the car will only go down to third gear for a corner so I just let it cange to third and I manually change it to second to get a better run out of the corner. After having my bitch I really must say this - I love it when the kids at my sons school tell him that his mum is cool cos of the car I drive

Lol, I don't think my car has stock springs, which contributes to the pain I suppose. But bumpity bumpity and yeah, I get complaints bout lack of vanity mirror too!
hehehe, some people are sooOOo vain! =P
lets not even bring up the rear 'passenger' area and how u should only be about 3 ft if u don't wanna hit your head hehehehe.

So Kazbah, what position were you "sitting" in to avoid banging your head? ;) On second thoughts, I don't want to know.

Mine has a vanity mirror behind the passenger viser. But you guys have explained why it looks so crappy. It just been stuck on.

My front passenger seat belt buckle bashes against the b pillar when it's just me in the car. It's probably the most annoying thing about my car. Anyone got a fix for this?

My idle speed controller has been stuffed for 12 months. After taking it to my incompetant mechanic 100 times and still not getting it fixed, I discovered one of the wires was broken. 10 minutes later the ISC was fixed for free by me. It's amazing how something so simple can make the car so crap. Car is now awesome!

Got a fix for that problem Simon, just buy a set of seatbelt covers(dont know if that is their technical term but you know the ones that are about a foot long and wrap around the seat belt and fasten with velcro) If you put them on it keeps the metal part of the seat belt awoay from the b pillar!! Hope that helps.
Cheers

Wouldn't an easier solution for the problem be to slot the front passenger belt into that little slot on top shoulders of our front seats? That's what I do and it works great. I still have those shoulder pad thingies for the back though, they make a lot of noise otherwise when u have a sub vibrating the clip against the rear quarter panels.

i fix that problem by attaching the rear passenger seatbelts so nothing is vibrating against the rear plastic qtr panels. works a treat, but there's still something vibrating INSIDE the qtr panel though, dammit....

You guys just discuss all the stuff i don't like about FTO's

1. Blind spot, the biggest problem
2. Front wheel drive
3. Interior lights (Glovebox don't have one) that one as well too dimm
4. Horsepower/Torque, no need to mention this one ... turbo cars kill us all
5. MIVEC not strong enough, eg. VTEC YO!!!!! kicks out bad ...
6. Not enough mod/parts for FTO's, this is real crap
7. Standard Dash board light too dimm
8. Air Intake size too small, notice the hole is only like 2 inch?
9. Headlights too way dim, worst after change lightlubs
10. Insurance, i don't have to go into this topic i guess ...

Other then those i reckon FTO is pretty good car, at lease Car of the Year in Japan 1994 hehe

Hmmmm so u guys think FTO got that many problems??? So why brough one then??? I'm sure u all done a test drive & had good look at everything before u purchase rite??? I know noting is perfect, but I love my FTO even though its not the fastest & haven't got all those european finish.

Anyway I don't have any blind spot problem with the FTO cause i had the worst blind spot car in the world (The new beetle). Test drive one & u relize FTO got no blind spot!!!
