I am not a mechanic...but flickering lights - i have found to be a crappy wire somewhere. Does the engine splutter at all? I found when certain wires were unplugged the engine goes in to failsafe mode - where it shuts itself down. It could just be the wire behind the dash? Have you put in a powerful stereo recently? or a car alarm?

used to get it in mine, its the warning for the cat converter, more than likely just a faulty heat sensor, but wont hurt to get under your car and check it out to be sure.
It is suppoesed to come on when it gets to hot and tour supposed to pull over and let it cool down, not park over any flamable surface or material bla bla bla...

If you have a look at where you cat is (meowwww) from drivers side, you will see a plug type thingamabob sticking it the top half of the cat, it dosnt really affect anything, sometimes when cars are complied the use cheap, low-flow cats, you caould always get it checked at an exhaust place, maybe get a better hi-flow cat fitted.
