went to APS Autotech Cottage St in Blackburn (i.e. old Genesis)

Their reputation for FTO's isn't as renowned as others in town, but have a good understanding of imports (they used to be predominantly jap imports when they were in Box Hill, but moving more Euro imports now) and stepper motor for them is easy if you're sure that's the problem.

They sourced it, and had it replaced within 2 days :D If you call them up first, maybe they can get it in, and so your car will only be in teh shop for a day

It should be $160 for the SM, ?about labour, cause I was getting a full service at the same time

Tell them Ian (silver FTO) from the FTO club sent you - ask Troy how his wedding in QLD went (if you wanna make small talk - ha!), and make sure you get those 30c off per L coupons....God knows we all need cheaper petrol

Oh, and btw, they can do pick-up/drop off, or drive you home if you're nearby

Good luck 8)

Changing the stepper is a ten minute job so it shouldn't be expensive.

Check the wires leading into it as well, the green one is notorious for breaking and causing idling probs.
