The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

how does having more power help you obtain a highter top speed in 1st? Every identical tranny FTO will manage the same speed in every gear except probably top gear if people do not hit rev limiter in top gear. So i dunno what the fuss is all about. Unless the mod is diff ratios which i dont believe there is such mod!FTO338 wrote:hahaaha yeah i wish, but if you read the other post, i only get 450km in a tank.mxysxy wrote:I reckon your car does 600+ kms with a full tank as well Kev?
But yeah i do have a few mods, so i guess thats how i get 80km at 8200rpm. Like said before i also reached 9200rpm or 9500rpm (can't remember now) & 192kmph on a dyno.
In theory your better off having a closer ratio box eg shorter first gear so your able to get to high rpm higher! Also because the next ratio will be shorter there would be less of a drop of RPMs when gear is changed which also helps with acceleration.
I know i hit about 140km/h in second though

Thats interesting, i can only hit 120kmph at 2nd, & yes i don't have a speed or rev limiter.

nah its just a 4speed tip too, it was removed when i had the RSM installed. To be honest not much of a use to remove the speed/rev limiter, but at least when someone ask me does my rev reach 9krpm when my speedo indicated 10krpm (KMC V3), i can "brag" yes it does.
It might also explan why it can reach 80km as its close to 10krpm. Like i said, it was done on a dyno. So its either the dyno was wrong or there is something wrong with my eye. The dyno dude also claimed that some other mods did help apart from the speed limiter, maybe his crapping on to make me happy
