Advan ain't that bad. Go to any performance shop around (UAS, CRD, Bel, Advan, etc etc), tell them you want to turbo your FTO and ask for a quote. I guarantee it won't be cheap, if they do it at all. They charge more, but they often do because they have real world experience on hi-po imports and the like.jr wrote:and cost a lot at advan i hate advan they r rip off fro turbo the fto is 15000 and not right to me i got the money but need to konw what evo engines will be good.
Now something like turbo-ing the FTO. Not exactly an off the shelf kit. Lots of custom work, trial and error required, which is why it's not going to be cheap in any instance.
Why isn't the Advan quote 'not right to you'??
//edit: Anyway if you're serious probably better off talking to someone who has had the conversion done, like FNTSY..

is this the price for a turbo conversion or to fit an evo engine? How much would it be to put in an evo engine? and what currency are you talking as im from UK.well its about $10,000 - $15,000 to get a SR20 convertion for a datto 1600, thats drive in drive out includes suspension and brake upgrades.
So I don't know I guess it would be somewhere in between that price range.
what exactly would i need from the evo? (just the engine/gearbox etc)

because of the fact it doesnt have MIVEC. all reports I have read have said tuning the turbo mivec can be complicated - tuning a GR is more simple... you have two sets of cams to cater for with the GPX..G_A_V wrote:why is it easier to turbo a gr, they both run 10:1 compression ratio, same manifolds, I guess the only difference is the MAF Sensor is more turbo friendly beeing outside the engine on the GR's
That quote $15000 for the Evo conversion ,does that include drive train ?
