Hey I am getting the RPW Extarctors and flex pipe combo and fitting a Cat Back exhaust.
1. On the RPW website It says that you need a Fuel Pressure Regulator when you change the whole exhaust due to leaning out and the creation of flat spots. Is this true? and could i get away with using a generic one cos their kit is $350 when you can have other good ones for about $120-150.
2. Can anyone suggest a Good, cost effective CAT go between the flex pipe and catback?
After I put my pipes on, I got a bit of pinging, so I wacked on a Malpassi 1.7:1 rising rate regulator. Had it tuned in & she was good to go Bought it off Ebay, was less than $200 from memory
Rising rate raises the fuel pressure 1.7 psi for every 1 psi of manifold air pressure (or reduced vacuum) it sees and a normal one only raises the fuel pressure 1 psi (1 : 1)
The SARD one is a rising rate......plenty on ebay too.
