I drive a GR so no mivec for memxysxy wrote:1/8 of 60lt tank is 7.5 ltrobsta wrote:i easy get 600+ on a tank even when i 'fang' it around almost every night. i usually fill up when im on 1/8 of a tank left
So you are doing 600+ kms with 50lts of petrol,
that’s 8.3lt per 100kms inc mivec every night, sounds like most of this is in city as well
Don’t get me wrong but, I am really having trouble to understand this.
That’s probably because I am jealous, cause my car has serviced every 2500-3000kms.

thanks for the reply/input guys
this gives me a general idea now of the capacity..it seems pretty good
just going to be using it for uni and going out in the weekends..
i assume the insurance on the FTO is reasonably high for me since im a P plater. however, insuring it under parents name should estimate about to how much ?
and when choosing insurance companies, which do u guys go for for the FTO /./.

I do a lot of freeway driving and I usually get around 500kms before I fill up. That 500kms is not even tapping into the reserve yet (before the fuel light comes on for the first time).
Not sure if this is related but when I get my injectors cleaned and fuel filter renewed I only get about 400kms before the light will come on.
Maybe there is less fuel being pumped into the cylinders when the fuel injectors are dirty. I know this kinda sounds obvious but what are everyone's thoughts?
