Problem with that is its impossible to get a reasonable picture of the sticker. Took about 10 photos and these are the best I could get. Moved the car 3 times to try and cut the reflections down too!. Maybe im just a crap photographer.

Hmm, dstocks and thone, have you removed the tint from behind your rear quarter glass?

Mine has this thick tint on it that makes the windows appear totally black from the outside, green from the inside, and this big asain import sticker on the LHS.

I've always wanted to take it off but never knew if it was a wise idea.

Got my stickers today, care of the Bennoz, and i'm quite impressed :)

      Before
      Image

      After
      Image
I took this inside to keep all the hot sluts from crowding up the photo, seriously, they jump my car as soon as it comes out of the garage... also, it looked like it was going to rain :P

      Application
      Image
Here's the sh*t I used; from left to right - vinyls, frozen beverage, old stiff cards (used simcard things), blutack, glasspolishing cloth, ruler, glass cleaner (i hate the smell of vinegar... how unaustralian) and newspaper.

Step one was clean the window... first I hit it with some spray, then vigorously newspapered it. Repeat that step twice, just to be certain. Then I gave the class a bit of a polishing to ensure it was totally, utterly, dry.

For step two I lined up my sticker using a ruler, and blutack dots. I tried to line it up with groundlevel, rather then with the black window border as that curves downwards. Notice my heavily tinted quarter glass, almost impossible to see through. I actually quite like the look, but the tint is scratched from attempts to remove it when I was bored, I might get it professionally redone.

      Image

You then peel back the thick, non-sticky backing (ensuring the vinyl stays on the sticky side) and carefully place it all against the window using the blutack as a guide. Then run a stuff card (credit card, drivers license etc.) over it to make sure its well and truly stuck to your window. Pay careful attention to rubbing down over the small parts like the fogligh/blinker assembly.

Then slowly peel back the transparent stickyness leaving the vinyl attached to your window. Place the stiff cards over sections of the vinyl and push it into the window to make sure all the edges are stuck down.

      Image

      Repeat this with the website.

If you managed to not f**k this up, then you get the Scarecrow's "i'm not completely useless" seal of approval :)

      Image

      Image

And that, my friends, is the story of how my vinyl club sticker came to rest on my driver side quarter glass.

      Joel.

No, mine is still tinted - no where near as dark as yours. Yours F1 tint? You may have to get a lighter - black shaded tint (as opposed to the green shade). Not that it matters, you can't exactly do a head check out of the window - makes your sticker stand out though! :)

Does the sticker have to be on the drivers side, because I put mine on the passenger side so when I have it parked, people that walk by will see it.

The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.
