Almost certainly discs need machining / replacing.
Get some DBA slotted's or something similar while you are at it. Only change the fronts - 99% sure it will fix your problem, and improve your braking performance at the same time. Pretty cheap upgrade really - and really easy to fit yourself.

It seem to me, you have lots of problem with your FTO
,so how much did you pay for it & what colour did you finally choose?
I hope this is not the one from the "unrepairable damage"

I had the same problem:
"Pulsating" brake pedal which was transmitted up to steering wheel on braking....
I put up with it for about 4 months (cause I was tight!!!
), but given that it was worsening, decided last month to get my discs changed, and now it's smooth as......
And agree with "mrx": only need to change front set....have your pads checked as well
Just FYI: slotted's look wicked, and I'm sure performance wise, there's a marked difference, but expect them to be $$$......I had to go standards, cause I couldn't justify paying $300 more for them....
And don't bother getting them machined.....you'll have the same problem recur in a few months, after which you'll have to get a new set anyway.
If you haven't already, I suggest you paint your calipers at the same time, since you'll have to take the wheels down anyway.....might as well get them doen while you're at it

I recently been investigating wheel vibration and apart form the rotors/pads the aftermarket wheels have issues if the installer did not use fit a (an I don't know the rel name) "sandwitch" device on the inside of the rim to fit properly on the hub...I noticed mine were not fitted which means the studs are alligning your wheel...they are not meant for that and the wheel can move...thats what the hub is for! The net result is vibration but usually at certain car speed...and maybe under breaking...
just something I'm onto atm.

Yeah it was odd, I had a good knock on the inside of one of my alloys. It was odd that under normal driving I felt nothing, but under brakes at speed I got the shudder. I was well pissed of after getting my discs milled it didnt go away! As I have drilled & slotted rotors, you cant machine them on car with a normal grinding tip, you have to pull them & send them down to the machine shop!
But yeah, new rims & it stopped.

it could be because inside the aftermarket wheels there needs to be a sprigget fitted to align with the hub. Mine didn't have it which means the wheel studs are aligning the wheel...not a good idea..I have had this fixed and will get my car (with new adjustbale Konis, springs and some bushes) today.
