Quick question...

How hard would a car like this go? Is it a WRX beater or something like that?
It seems like something pretty expensive to do. Just wondering if it's worth it in the long run.

Just ask the owner MarkFTO, there are video clips & other stuff at the UK site about his car.

This car was sold almost 4yrs ago. I first saw it just 1wk after Mikey (GPXXX) brought his car, & he relise he brought his FTO 1 wk early, because he really after a turbo FTO, hint why he turbo charged his FTO.

Prestige Motor Sport is one of the many brokers or agents in the world who use the same data base from Japan. So just because its show in a Aussie's site, it doesn't mean its either exclusive to Australia or its in Australia.

Geoff who runs Prestige Motorsport is from Oz I also brought a FTO from him last year - they advertise in the UK and OZ and found the service they offer extremely good...

have to admit 11-12 secs is damn fast, but putting a evo engine on front wheel is like losing the overall balance for cornering ah?

roughly how much does it cost for evo conversion? 10k? 8O
The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

I think the FTEVO has all of the EVOs drive train, making it 4WD, so no loss of cornering etc, just bags more fun!

Why would you lose cornering with a 4G63 in an FTO?

You would have to be more carefull with throttle, but otherwise a 4 cyl engine must way less than a V6, meaning handling should improve as it would make the whole balance of the car better

I'd have thought the engine was lighter,so the handling balance would be improved.

if your spending that much on the car.. you can spend a little more on different front/rear sway bars to fix the balance on turn in anyway 8)

I took it as he meant the engine would overpower a FWD car, rather than it being too heavy!
