Thermostat for FTO

wondering if you guys can help me get a new thermostat for my FTO. basically wondering if i can get a non mistu part or have to pay over priced mitsu prices. If i can get an aftermarket part what should i be asking for???

They are a generic thing. Only thing that isn't is the gasket for the housing - but you can hand make gaskets from rolls of gasket paper. Give your local auto shop & call & see if they can match the Mitsi part number with their catalouges. Mitsi part is MD175746

Speaking of thermo devices, does anyone know where the external thermometer for the climate control unit is??

Mine reads far too high and I wanna have a jiggle with it. 8)

haha actually my external sensor is rooted.... can anyone pull a part number for that out their heads... and im guessing that you would need to get that part from mitsi's

oh and totally off the original topic but can you guys suggest a motor oil and radiator coolant to put in my fto. might as well get that stuff at the same time.

if we can find out what type of sensor it is? I can maybe get an alternative.

it could be type "J" or "K" or "T".

If some one has an old one to check. if not I am changing my "dogs balls" (indicators to those that did not follow all the trouble I had with VIC roads) to LEDS in a couple of weeks time and I can check then (we have a calibrator @ work)

Mitsi part number is MR148647. Description aint real good thou.... "Sensor" 8O
