FTO Veilside Kit - is this a too much

Post by vivek »

Hey people. Aero image in melbourne has quoted me a price of $1400 for the veilside front bumper and side skirts (paint and fitting included in the price) I think the price is a bit too high. Can i get it done for less than that.
are there any other suplliers of this veilside kit for FTO in melbourne.
HELP please. need to get it done asap.

With paint and fitting included that looks like a pretty good price to me. The one I've seen on eBay is asking $1390 plus $190 delivery. After that you still gotta paint and fit so $1400 sounds good to me.

Remember, you get what you pay for in terms of painting and fitting. Mine was done on the cheap, it was a sh*t fit, and now the paints all cracking.

Hell, splash him another 100 extra and tell him to do another coat of paint.

thanks a lot ppl. That surely was helpful. Good point scarecrow. I might give him that extra $100 bucks and ask him to remove my spoiler as well. I have never liked spoilers on FTO, so might as well remove it. Anybody after my spoiler? lol

vivek i know hao and if i wasnt getting a great rate on my respray job at the moment he would be doing mine as well.. he completed my friends skyline and his finish is really good. he has done quiet a few showcars and 1400$ for kit + painting seems reasonable, the kit alone is around 800$ isnt it. make him add a layer of pearl on your whole car while he is at it to make it look bling bling

u do realise if u remove the wing and weld it up then painted, it'll cost u more than $100.

trust me... I know lol - cos i wanted to do that and didnt end up doing it cos it wasnt cheap.

$1400 for kit and fit/sprayed is a pretty reasonable price.

make sure they prime everything properly and stuff, otherwise cracks will form later down the track.
