Well if i can get one imorted (kit) perhaps we can organise a group buy.??

All reports i have read rate them quite highly due to the sealed unit and vacuum producing barrel....

Can it be attached to a GR? Looks alright, i want a cold air induction setup for when i change the front bar. I'd go a groupie on this. Remember the figures on there site would include VAT tax too, which is like 17%.

I am pretty sure that the VAT does not apply to offshore UK...

Thats right. 17.5% VAT is not applicable to non UK buyers. We do however (depending on the legitimacy of the freight deal) have to pay Import Duty & 10% GST when it gets to Aus.....

If sent by post, then anything under $1k is customs and GST free. So depending on frieght costs, then it would perhaps be cost effective to have them sent over in groups of two or three (at 150 pounds each).

Hi guys,
Just noticed this thread after being contacted by Lenny & another member of the forum regarding these filters.

First to try and answer your questions, the BMC filter is available as a universal filter - we have created an FTO-specific fitting kit ourselves so you wouldn't find exactly the same kit available elsewhere.

As far as dyno figures, we've never tested them in this way - partly because dyno figures over here seem to be largely inaccurate, but also mainly because the advantages gained from this filter are largely down to the fact it feeds entirely off cold air from the front bumper - on a dyno you generally have the bonnet up & a huge fan blowing cold air onto your engine anyway so the benefits would not be obvious. The real improvement can be felt on the road where the car feels a lot more responsive with better accelleration. I had the HKS filter fitted to my car previously and struggled to believe how much of an improvement this filter showed.

The kit is not currently available for the GR, only for Mivec engines, however after much demand we are just awaiting an order of various pipes so we can finalise parts for a non-Mivec filter kit at which point this will also be available.

We are more than happy to ship these filters across to you in Oz individually (although I've no idea on postage costs at the moment), however if you guys would like a group buy organising this is also not a problem & we can send them in bulks of whatever is required to avoid customs charges at your end.
Anybody interested in organising a group buy please get in touch.

Also, as Lenny & Bennoz said, VAT isn't applicable unless the parcel is being posted to the UK so it would be just a case of us giving you a price for the item(s) & shipping charges, then the only thing remaining would be whatever customs charges etc. apply at your end.

If anyone has any further questions regarding these filters (or any products on our site) feel free to PM me or email sales@hostileperformance.co.uk

Anyway, I'll leave you with a couple of teaser pics... :)

Thanks,
Mike

Thanks for the info Mike.

I guess once you have had a look at pricing etc then something can be started from this end.

is that a pod setup inside? Good idea, was thinking about one of these a while ago!

But if there is no induction noise, wouldnt a K and N in stock box, with mods to the stock CAI be the same thing??
