Battered & Bruised But I'm Back...

Post by NorthQLDFTO »

Hello all... It's been a couples of weeks since I spoke to you all... Well we have a rather nasty car accident to thank for that and before we all panic rest easy it was not in my FTO...

Me and a couple of mates had been out drinking & when we'd had enough we rang one of the guys sister to pick us up... On the way home we were coming up to a bridge with another car in the next lane about 1/2 a car length in front of us when some f**king morons in a Commodore screamed past us out of a merging lane and tried to cut through the WAY TO SMALL gap between the two cars... They clipped the front left side of my mates sisters Pulsar and sent us into the bridge wall which we ricocheted off and again into the right hand wall before flipping onto the side (my side) and sliding to a halt then tipping onto the roof!!!

The Commodore spun out also collecting the rear of the Camry in front of us but luckily they were only shunted forward and were able to pull up without further incident...

Nobody was 'seriously' hurt although Hannah (my mates sister) suffered some nasty glass lacerations and a broken wrist... My mate in the front passenger side also received some nasty cuts also thanks to shattered glass... I was on the drivers side in the rear seat and unfortunately during the impact with the walls my door popped open (thank god for seatbelts here) I've lost a respectable amount of flesh as well as being the lucky receipient of a fractured forearm & wrist & a dislocated shoulder with a lovely topping of severe concussion!

BUT... Apart from that nobody was killed thank god! Although my mates sister's confidence has been shattered due to the accident...

Unfortunately due to my injuries I wont be able to drive for nearly 10 weeks :( So my poor FTO will sit unused for a time!!!

f**king Moron Commodore Drivers...

Nasty nasty accident, but it's wonderful that you've pulled through without anything really major.

Here's to a speedy recovery!

The Commodore crapped itself after the collision so they weren't going anywhere... The driver legged it after the accident but his 2 mates did assist with first aid at least. And apparently once the cops arrived his mates were all to eager to pass his name around...
From what I've heard over the last couple of days he took off because they'd all been drinking...
After getting his name it took the cops 2 1/2 hours to find him and he apparently registered just under the .05 so he's being charged with DUI along with everything else!
It's a sh*tty process... We're all off work (and I've only been in my new job for 2 weeks!) & my mates sister (our driver) is an absolute wreck... She can't even ride in a car at the moment without having panic attacks...
