LED Wiring

Post by Dr_Jones »

Hi all just a quick and simple question I hope. If I have 4 Leds lets say 3 volts each and I wire them up in series without a resistor each LED would see 3 volts when powered from 12, is that correct?

Yes, that theory is correct

Total voltage in a series circuit is equal to the some of the individual voltage drops: ETotal = E1 + E2 + . . . En
