The difference between what we do and what we are capable of doing would suffice to solve most of the world's problem.

Yeah it's depressing - I sold my GPvR for an amount that would make you guys cry :(

I used to see 5 or so FTOs a day in NZ. I've been in England a month, and I've seen 2 in total...

So let me get this straight. If we go and live there for a year, we can bring the car back without paying GST. Is that correct?

I hope it is coz I have an apartment in New Zealand! 8)

Nah, I think it's comparable to Australia here regarding FTO rarity. But that does mean that the owners of them, both here and in Australia, tend to be real enthusiasts and hence the existance of clubs like this one and FTOOC.

Whereas in NZ, hardly anyone cares (other than me and Schumie of course) because they are so common...

As for importing, I believe that there are a number of other factors. I don't know if the 12 month ownership thing gets you out of paying GST - it may only allow you to import it in the first place...

Was that white FTO Mike's car was it? That looked like a really nice road though. It would be awesome to just have a flock of FTO's fly past there at a ridiculous speed. Now that would make an awesome clip to see. Especially if you shot it at different angles and added a cool soundtrack to it. Kinda like the gran turismo 3 opening movie. That was awesome! I downloaded that track and played it full blast when we were in the black spur in the last cruise.......hehehe
