Well if any good comes of this... it will be "A guide to bonnet removal & repair" on Complete FTO :)

Sell it to a wrecker and buy a CF bonnet? :)

Maybe hit it with a buffer if you've got one.

      Update

      Post by dstocks »

      Well,

Dont think I have much clear coat left, but seem to have got out most of the scratches. Can still see a couple of the deeper ones if you look at the bonnet at certain angles, but other than that, seems to be OK.

Seem to have come out of this better than expected (Lucky).

that sucks dude.... hope you can get it looking spankin new again,

is exactly why i never ever park under a tree of any kind even on hot days.... always paranoid about branches falling, possums shitting or falling onto my car etc.

Yeah, problem is, I have been trying to keep as much heat of my new interior finish as possible. I guess in trying to protect one thing, I inadvertently damage another.

Is hard to see if there are any dents, I hate dents and scratches but scratch I can get out easier than dents, man if that was me, I would be screeming, I end up screeming if someone puts there door in the side of my car when it is parked.
