Hehehe, well I've painted a few of my cars myself in my day...
And lets just say the neighbors were not to happy about all their windows & doors ending a nice shade of British Racing green hehehe.
Well, apart from the fact that is it illegal to do it, say in your driveway (which is where I did one) the fine is monstrous...
I put a tarp up to stop sh*t landing on it & went for it. You'll need a range of fine grit sandpaper, an angle grinder with polish tips, a reasonable capacity air compressor & a spray gun. You also have to get your paint made up. Most Auto parts places can make you any colour you like. You will also need auto thinners to mix the paint & lots of degreaser & primer.
Oh and a stack of newspaper & masking tape....
To my way of thinking the car we painted looked unreal, but it was by no means showroom condition
