hey guys just wanna know is it worth buying a mivec controller or a intake and fuel controller things ?? and what would be a price range for a decent one .and where in nsw can i get one :)

Definitely NOT worth buying a mivec controller. Mitsubishi did their homework when they set them mivec point. Hell they designed the cams, the designed the motor & computer to go with. People have 'lost' power fiddling with mivec change points.

If your looking for more power (which I think you are :D ) get an aftermarket piggy back ECU like a Unichip or equivalent.

Just remember - your gains will be in direct relation to the mods you already have :wink: More mods, more gains from piggy back. I wouldn't bother with a computer unless I had at least done a proper CAI & some sort of exhaust work.

thanx for the tip ben.. but where could i possibly get a hand on one of these piggy back unit thingy's :)
im in the process of doing this new intake thing. and just wantd more power. somone was sayin on a thread before.. something about a computer that controlls the air intake and fuel , and u can set it to max and min to watever plzes u.

Well RPW can do the Greddy Emanage for you
UAS can do the Perfect Power SMT6/7 for you
A number of places can do Unichips. I had mine installed & tuned by Croydon Auto sports. I got it second hand off a member here :wink:

what price am i lookn for. and how much power do i get out of it ?is it noticeable? and how much for labour? :oops:
