i would imagine you cannot hit the redline in 5th..... the maximum revs in 5th would also be the cars top speed...... car cant go any faster then its top speed....

The motors also have rev limiters. If you hit 9k it will just bounce off the limiter. The car is also limited to 180km/h out of the factory too.

ya...just like any rev limited car it won't allow you to go any faster...180 is a bit slow I know but probably good enough...

getting it de-limited is a must if you want to put it on a dyno, because you can't hit redline on the dyno when it is in 4th gear.

ive actually gone past 180, in 5th gear on about 6000rpm. ? does that mean that my rev limiter has been disabled or something ?

In a controlled environment such as a track of course...

Possibly, car may have been de-limited.

Mine had gone pass 9k rpm & went to 192kmph at 4th on a dyno before. I de-limited it with the Apexi RSM.

I'm getting all mixed up now aswell, I was told that when you go to dyno your car when it is a manual and it is in 4th gear, u don't hit redline because you hit the speed limiter first, I don't know by experience but was told.

I thought they were all limited to 8250 rpm,i know mine is......It seems strange you'd remove the rev limiter so you could rev to 9k unless you'd had some serious internal work done!

If I recall correctly the autos should be dynoed in 3rd gear to get best results.

I think it was Kev who said that......so don't shoot me if I'm wrong! :P
