whenever i xcelarate, usually during first to third gear... the door light flashes the light that indicates the doors are open. it flashes everytime i xcellarate...
Hmmm... there are 2 spring loaded sensors on the door surround area (one on each side of the car.) They have a rubber boot on them & when the doors close it pushes them in the break the circuit. Perhaps one of them is shot??
OMG u got the "annoying backseat driver" indicator, it tells you to ditch your passenger
Seriously apart from checking the door springs like Ben said, check behind the gauges/dials, & see if everything is in place properly.

I have had the exact same problem since my car was panel beaten and resprayed.
It sounds to me like the hook thingies (that's the technical term) that the door locks onto attached to the car itself have shifted. There are some lines on the car and some marks on the thingies. They should match up. If they don't, get a big mother of a phillips head screw driver, loosen the two screws on the the hook thingy, move it to where it should be and then tighten the screws as tight as possible.
I have to do this about every 2 months or so because I am a girly man and can't tighten the screws tight enough
but what i found out recently, i dont know if it has anything to do with it... but when the door is closed its fine, this is the passenger seat door, and i noticed that other day when a friend leaned on the door the light switch came on.
Yup had this problem too.... Its the door not lining up properly, my interior light used to flash me when I went around corners. The fix is actually the hinge bolts holding the door to the body of the car. Adjust them and hey presto, problem solved.
Dodo's cant fly and this lot came from the air (unless you throw them up there)... I got pics to prove it and after that my sunroof stuffed up and my interior light kept flashing me!
