It all started when Ferdinand Piëch, the swivel-eyed former boss of Volkswagen, bought Bugatti and had someone design a concept car.

I quite like this line in regards to braking:

"Happily, stopping distances become irrelevant because you won’t see the obstacle in the first place. By the time you know it was there, you’ll have gone through the windscreen, through the Pearly Gates and be half way across God’s breakfast table."

I seriously want to know how you get his job?? I know the editor of Rapid Magazine (bike mag) and when he wants to trial a bike or do a track day or whatever he just rings the manufacturer and says I want a bike. He then proceeds to thrash the life out of it, just cos he can!! Then he goes away after a day or weekend of fun and games and writes an article. AND gets paid handsomely to do it too!!!

Keep in mind VW Group also have very close relationship with Porsche, they also own Audi, Lamborghini, Bentley, Seat, Skoda, & of course Bugatti. So for them to do something like this isn't a suprise.

The other thing is how small it actually is - only about the length of an RX8.

I thought it would be a lot taller, not sure why though!

Awesome. Stunning. Breath-taking.

It is like the Don Bradman of cars - you just take it out of the equation when comparing the rest.

Yeah Kev's right.....cars these days don't come from one single manufacturer.

check out the latest top gear episode if you want to see clarkson driving one, he races from italy to london in one of their 'whats quicker, a car or a ....... '

the most impressive apart, except for the fact it will empty its tank in like 12 minutes at full throttle is that in a drag with a McLaren F1, (and im going from memory here)
you can let the F1 take of and reach 100mph, and the Bugatti will BEAT IT to 180mph....
unbelievable

Flat out i'm pretty sure it does the entire tank in 12minutes, most supercars hover about the 10 - 20minute mark. That's the price you pay for pants creamingly good performance.

Saw TopGears piece on the Veyron.

I want one. Easily the coolest car, ever.

W16 = sex please.

Both Wheels & Motor have an article on the Veyron, but i love this line from the Motor the best

"Give a Ferrari Enzo a 15 sec start, and the Veyron beats it to 300km/h"
