Car servicing

I just got my car a few weeks ago and will soon need to get it serviced.So i'm curious to see who ppl entrust to sevice there car,as i don't really trust my local mechanic

Well if you've got the coin, go to Unique Auto Sports in Castle Hill. You'll pay, but you'll know its been done properly. They do many members cars here :wink:

i do it my self!

Its easy just takes time!

Ive done my timing belt, rear plugs, fuel filter, oil, oil filter, everything really.

The only thing i dont do is the ATF as its better to get it flushed.

I do mine myself too, but these days its a matter of time available!

And Payaya, I believe you & I are the only ones out here to take on the GR tappets rear bank nightmare! :P

eheeheh i work full time as well, its basically more trouble for me to drop my car off during the week days etc.

On the weekend you can bascially service your whole car in 2 hours!

Ah those tappets, thats when you should pay someone to do them, what a bastard!

Guess what i still tick sometimes, i reckon its the oil im using!

Mine do too! especially on cold starts, but it goes away after she warms up & oil pressure / temp comes up.

Yeah i get a few ticks here and that, much improved over how it use to be, worth the effort and money i guess!

I used to do my old car myself,but i'd feel better if a pro did it 4 now.Maybe i will do it myself a little later on down the track
