FTO vs Neighbourhood Cats
Hi All,
I am sure that I am not the only one with this problem.
Seems that some of the local feline inhabitants in addition to running amok in my yard have taking a liking to sit (and tap dancing) on my parked FTO whilst I am not at home.
Car cover is not an option as it is too much stuffing around and can cause just as many scratches as the cats.
Very tempted to sit outside one night and pick them off with my .22 fitted with silencer and night scope but my fiancee strongly suggests a more humane approach. This unfortunately also rules out trapping and electric fences.
I have tried spraying them with water and other liquids (no acid as yet....) and placing other citrus smelling repellents around the yard with varying levels of success.
Any other suggestions? industrial stregth sonic repellent?
It's going to be 12 months before we gain a canine member of the family.
Cheers
Chris

Could be worse - FTO's could have bonnet vents. There's nothing that attracts cats more than a nice mesh vent above a nice warm engine.
Guy I know used to have an Evo 6 and almost without fail, half an hour after getting home from work he would have at least 2 cats on his bonnet lying in the vents

OK,
Thanks to Tanya's suggestion...........
Think I have the problem solved...............without being cast out to the dog house, so to speak.
2 weeks and not one pussy print on the FTO.
Got 2 plastic containers with holes, fashioned hooks to them, placed a handful of moth balls in each, hooked one over the windscreen wiper, hooked the other into the sunroof.
Be prepared to see me in the next season of "The New Inventors" with a product called "Pss Orf Pussy".
...............Just don't try typing it in Google............
Cheers
