I really have no idea about this , so i was wondering:
My breaks seem to be a bit rusty (obviously around the edges where the pads dont touch) and i was wondering how much it would cost to get them polished up all shiney again? and how long it would be before they returned to the same state again after?
Would it really be worth it? Or has anyone done it?
Once you've cleaned them, hit them with degreaser then paint the exposed surfaces with heat proof primer. Comes in an aerosole can & in a matt grey / sliver finish - if you want that natural steel look
yeah but hes talking about the edge of the rotors... the rough edge... either go hard with a wire brush or stick them in a vice with a bit on the end of a drill
I have painted the outside edge of my rotors - as I said any heat proof primer for a start. Reason I say primer is because it has anti-rust properties. You can then put any clour you like on. When I get a sec I'll get a pic for you.
