This probably shows my age more than anything else, but.....

He's nearly 3, sits in the back seat and is already calling it 'MY CAR'. Every time he comes out with this I have this image of him asking for the keys...

P.S. Yes, kids and FTO's can work. Thats what the annoying child restraint things on top of the speakers are for.

Hehehe, he's going to be a tinkerer like his father I guess?

One of the UK boys has a child that he also puts in the back seat too.

Edit: The little soldier got a first name??

Me too... My daughter's three and a half and happily goes in a child seat in the back - there are a couple on the market that are thin enough to make the FTO usable as a daycare taxi.

It's a very light child seat too, which makes it feasible to still get quick times at the track with it in place. Tends to wind up the other drivers when you beat 'em in an FTO with a kiddie seat installed!!!! hehe.

Yes, I'm evil. ;)

Names Cameron, an yes, he already likes tinkering (usually at my expense). I reckon he'll be able to comfortably fit into the back until he is about 7.

yeah its annoying because i live with my sister and she has just had a baby 7months ago and she has already been saying a baby seat will look good in my car...lol

yeah that stupid baby seat holder on the speaker annoyed me heaps...bcoz when i bought the car there was a huge retalling sound from the speaker and it was that metal thing hitting the case of the speaker:(

fixed it now though..:P

Just make sure you put it back on if you ever sell the vehicle or have to have it inspected by RTA or whoever.

They can defect you on it due to ADR.

Clean

Post by dstocks »

I actually managed to find a rear parcel shelf without the mods made to it (pre compliance). I have the original with all the appropriate bolts and brackets set aside if I need it. Cameron is now old enough for a booster seat and so uses the normal seatbelt. Word or warning, if you use the restraint on the speaker to attach a child seat, it compresses the headrest (PERMANENTLY). Lucky I had a spare rear seat!!!
