Siiiigh......I want my FTO back.

Congratulations though!

So were the rear belts totally removed or what? I still don't get why someone would remove the rear seatbelts, the only way I could see something like this happening is a dodgy compliance job.

Unless you know what you're doing I'd suggest getting a pro to do the job.....seatbelts are one area you don't want to toy with!!

My FTO is....uh....sick at the moment.

yeah i think the guy who owned my car before used to drag it then and there bcoz he had a tacho and everything and took it out and also had the seat belts out so i reckon he did!!!

and he also installed a 3000 intake set up bcoz he said it used to always over heat...so i reckon he dragged!!!

Seat belts out for a drag??

Do they really weigh that much?
didnt have them in for ages only put them in when some bastard wanted a ride
Haha, my new seats have taken care of that problem. Only way someone is fitting in the back now is if thier knees can go up to their ears!

i think hes talking about his front seats.

Yes there does seem to be a lacking in enthusiast FTO owners in SA. most of the cars i have seen in SA have been for wives and girlfriends or guys who really didnt care too much about their cars. Thats why its always good to hear from people like yourselves who love their cars... like me who will love it when i can get one.... sigh.....

so you comn to the mallala event now then?

surely someone there can put your seatbelts in for less than $200. sounds like a total rip off to me.

Yeah, it is difficult to get people involved. Catch 22 though - people dont stay involved because there is seemingly little interest, and then new people come along and they don't get involved because there is seemingly little interest.....

Vicious circle.

Anyhow...

is your car the gold FTO with no wing? I saw one at Marion (Adelaide) about 7 months ago. Nice car if it is. Would be keen to catch up next time you are heading to Adelaide all the same. Can get some of the EVO/GSR guys (maybe) aswell.

Did anyone say track day? :)

guys i am so ready to CRY again...the guy who i bouight it sent me the seat belts yeh...but didnt send me one of the brackets which hold the seat belt onto the car...i have installed one seat belt and now seeing if the guy has the bracket if not have to buy a brand new seat belt!!!

putting seat belts in are easy as guys so dont let any place rip you off..it;s simple as i have never done it and i did it with ease!!!

yeah man that is my new car...it looks sick as but like i said needs more work bcoz its not the way i want it...i think my car looks best with out the spoiler bcopz the guy i bought it off showed me pics of the veilside spoiler on it but looked dumb!!!

yeah man the next time im in adelaide with my car ill stop in and show anyone...bcoz showing off ya car is always the best feeling..:P

i just had a wonder vision of my car when i took my back seats out...the whole back part would look wikd turned into a speaker place...has the hole already into the boot and the subs would seat in there wikd and i think it would look crazy but then it only becomes a 2 seater...maybe i will change the whole car in 5-10 years time when i get bord of the look of the inside...:P

its the future for my car...i see the light...lol
