help. what do u think is wrong

Post by shue »

k a few months back i changed my idel spin motor. was fine. ok, since the past week when i start off in the morning the idel is around a bit lower than 1000 rpm's. when i drive about 10 kms i hear the fan coming on a bit too often as well as the idel goes up. when i stop after a run of say 10 k's (very normal city driving) it idels near 1500 rpm's and when i started its around 1000. if i drive it harder like put it into manual mode etc the idel after 10 k's is a lot higher than aunty diasy driving. now this is worrying me, secondly i feel the car is sluggish and hardly any power , the temp gauge says its normal but yea with the fans coming on almost every traffic light. what do u think is wrong?

I'd start by checking your ECU for any error codes...

check the resistance of your ISC when the engine is hot as well! I found out my ISC was fine when cold, but when hot, one of the coils were screwed.
