What engine oil to use

Post by Khome »

Hi, I just bought a FTO, and was just wondering how engine oil I should use to get the best out of the vehicle......Also, the FTO uses premium unleaded petrol right? Does it affect the performance if regular unleaded petrol is used?

You can use regular, but I suggest you avoid it an just stick to premium. As far as oils concerned I use magnetec, but only because I have noisy tappets an it seems to help.

use Motul 10-40.
and definately dont use that regular unleaded crap because the car was designed to run on rubbish fuel.

I think what Mil was try to say was that FTO was design to run on those Japanese High ron rating fuel, even thought the ECU will adopt to low ron rating petrol, its not really good for your engine in the long run.

You can use either Motul 8100 Ester, or Mobil 1 supersycn, but if u really strong in your pocket, go to HKS workshop, use their oil they really good.
