EOI Greddy Emanage Blue Unit Group Buy
Would anyone be interested in getting a group buy up for the Greddy emanage ? I havent confirmed anything yet but i would be getting it through RPW who sell the unit with the harnesses and software for $1100.
Also it come with full diagram for wiring for the FTO .... If i get a few numbers up ill give dave a call and see what he can do for us.

i'm not sure about easier to tune... UAS have tuned most out there and the only one they don't like tuning is the WOLF 3D computers, the rest are all easy enough to use.barfy wrote:yeah i did but looking at it the Greddy blue unit gives you more options with tuning and is a lot easier to tune ...
All your doing when you're tuning is changing settings then check the results on the dyno for AF, torque, kW(hp), if they go up your in the right direction if they go south you made the wrong change....
beyond:
timing
fuel
air
what else do you want to tune?
MIVEC point does nothing noticeable as i found out (the hard way). I have a VAFC sitting in my car it is essientally just bling bling...
perfect power suits me, its tiny and easy to mount and does all that needs to be done for my purposes (which is more than most as i put my car on the race track).
interestingly Greddy's are normally criticised as being too simple (for Turbo cars)....

Can also get from mohdparts.com from the US .... without the software, which only one person really needs to get
, its like 640AU for everything.... of course you would have to add shipping and duties but since I dont live there I have no idea how much that would come to
Guess to ship 10 would be a lot cheaper than shipping 1. not very big and fairly light.

Well about 4 months ago I almost bought an eManage+dynotune from Greg Wests here in SA. They do most of the Mitsi work for the EVO/GSR club over here.
They sell, several brands including Motec, but for an FTO application where the user would like to interface their own laptop for simple logging, they actually recommended the eManage unit. They took me into the shop and showed me both a Motec M4 and an eManage in the prcess of being installed in two separate cars. They plugged the laptop into each, and I must say the eManage does seem very user friendly in comparison.
I could probably get some more info if anyone would like it.
As to the group buy Barfy ... I might join in, just want to check some things first. Will let you know in a few days.

Hey Barfy,
Sorry if my message was ambiguous. Yes they have chipped and tuned an FTOs before, but the two cars I saw were both EVOs.
I'll be going down there in the next couple of weeks to talk about getting my tappets done. So I'll speak about an eManage+dynotune again.
Oh and more than happy to catch up If you like, just send me a PM.
Will Let you know how I go.

rnbboi, that $599 price is for the module only, which are same as everywhere else & the price barfy quoted is including module, harness (don't know which one though) & software.

Mine has done 84,000. But here's the problem. I helped Shaun take his car apart to reset the tappets a couple of months ago. The real problem is hard to explain, but here goes...barfy wrote:How many kMs your car done cause i think my tappats need to be done too, i thought it was the belts tapping but it definatley is something inside the motor tapping ....
Where abouts is this place ?
The tappets look like little alloy rods with a ball joint on one end. On this ball joint sits an alloy cup with a flat base. But to keep this cup connected to the ball joint Mitubishi used a plastic sleeve that encases both parts. Why they used plastic for a part constantly splashed with hot oil, and spends its entire life moving up and down to open the valves at RPM / 4... I will never know.
Anyway when this plastic degrades and breaks away, the cup falls off and goes down into the sump.
So what your left with is the ball joint hitting the valve caps with an extra 2-3 mm of clarance.... hence the tapping.
What we found with Shauns car is whoever had reset the tappets, just reset the clearance to remove this extra gap, rather than fixing the root cause.
Anyway if you're going to get your tappets reset, I'd actually get the whole lot replaced. That's what I'm planning when I get my Tax Return in a couple of weeks.
Graham Wests is on Marion Road out Brighton way. I'll get the actual address tonight and post it for you.
Might pay to also ask guys at the Mitsubishi Evo/GSR club website for advise on this workshop, as they have much more experiene with them than me.
Anyway I've ranted for long enough ...seeya
