I agree. Its the hacker or host that is to blame (or both?).
If its accessable people are going to look. Human nature I am afraid. :?
Does anyone have the committee's numbers to notify them?, I don't :?

We are using the logs of those that accessed the section to try and determine if they were the one's that hacked the forum.

I'm not blaming anyone yet for the hack, but surely the person who hacked the forum would have accessed the only protected section, why else would they hack it?

I'm sorry, but it's one of the route's we are having take to try and track down the culprit. It could turn out to be no-one from the forum.

Once we've determined that the people who accessed the private section, but had no hand in the hacking, I will personally write them a email, notifying them that they have nothing to worry about.

Fair enough SD. Prob the only way you can find out. So was it a definate hack then? or is it possible the host screwed up?

well I emailed the council to see if they would consider doing the parking permit thingy down the road, I know a lot of the neighbours are miffed too... I managed to park in my actual road last night which was an achievement in itself! Not really much else I can do, but thanks for your help anyways....

Hate it when the forum goes down, never know what to do all day!!!

I expect you also suffer from Caravans, Trailers, Boats on Trailers, Cars on Trailers, Skips, some Lorries and Cars that have been parked in the same spot for ages (No tax etc) These items can be removed from the Highway.

A caravan parked on the road HAS to be attached the vehicle on which it is towed.
A licence is needed for skips (Lights etc)

Project cars (Tarpaulin covered) Should be off the Highway unless Taxed
with a Valid MOT (No chance of that then is there?)

Big Lorries can be removed if it disturbs the flow of traffic

Trailers are not allowed on the highway unless attached to a vehicle and must have a proper no plate (Not cardboard)

All this makes for more space, everyone's happy (Unless you own 5 cars like my next door neighbour, in which i had the Council remove 3 of  )

Argie :)
